A Celebration!

Hi Everyone,

I really want to write and thank all of you for visiting and commenting.  It has been so much fun getting to know many of you!  I really enjoy all of your feedback.  This post is to celebrate the fact that I now have 100 followers (a goal for a long time) AND that this is my 250th post.  Who would have thought I would have enough to say to write that many times!

To celebrate, I'm going to have a giveaway.  One of "the lights" that I got from Ikea plus I have a few other things to tuck into the package.

To enter, all you have to do is comment on this post by midnight next Friday.  In your comment I would love to hear something that your are celebrating or are anticipating celebrating soon.

I'm having company for the next week so I'm not sure if I will be posting much.  Don't forget to send any binding ideas to me at patrioticquilter@gmail.com if you would like to have them featured in the parade.  The deadline for that is also next Friday.  A few of you have already sent some and I'm loving them!  It will be a great post on Saturday, the 27th.

Have a wonderful day and thanks again for being such great people!
JoAnne

  1. I will be celebrating my precious daughter's birthday in May. She has been a mainstay of love and support to us. My husband and I have both fought cancer, and most recently, we have lost our son, her brother. They were so very close, and I celebrate that love they had for each other every day. Love you blog, I visit daily, it has brought me much joy..diannemitzel1@hotmail.com

  2. Congratulations on reaching 100 followers! I look forward to celebrating the end of the school year with my students. We have many traditions at our school involving service learning, "rising" to the next grade, and speeches galore. It's always a wonderful time to reflect on the good things that happened during the year.

  3. Congrats to you to have such a following. Doesn't it make you wonder if 100 will comment today? LOL. I know many who lurk but a giveaway will bring em out! (Here I am). I'm looking forward to June for our beach vacation where both my sons and future DIL will be too! It doesn't get better than that!

Oh, I'd send you binding ideas but I left alot of my quilts in storage.

  4. I'm soon going to celebrate finishing two little girls first communion dresses for a friend and her daughters. I've been working hard and at my age I need all the light I can get. If I don't win though, I'll make the hr. trip up north and pick one up. I understand Ikea does not ship lamps. Saw this one on Bonnie Hunter's blog. Keep quilting.

  5. Congrats on the 100 follower milestone - that is great! I am one of those faithful followers. I check your blog almost everyday (sometimes the weekend gets a little crazy!). I am looking forward to celebrating warmer weather. It has been a long hard winter including unexpectedly losing our 38 year old son so I could use some sunshine in my life!
Hope I win the prize - I don't have an Ikea near me and I have been wanting one of those lights.

I'm celebrating the fact that a number of people have joined me in using their scraps to make lovely things. Your QOV idea is wonderful, and I definitely think you should pursue your own Duck Dynasty version as well!
