I'm Going!!!

 Hi Everyone,

My husband called yesterday afternoon to tell me the good news.  He has to stay until next week and wants me to fly there to join him!

Where?  Here is a hint:

In case you haven't figured it out:  that isn't an ordinary apple, it is a big apple!

If you have figured out my whirlwind destination, I'll give you precisely one guess at the attraction that is at the top of my list!

Have a great weekend.  I'm hopeful that mine will be very, er, "liberating?"

  1. If you need fabric, go to The City Quilter! It's wonderful and the prices are fine. 133 West 25th street.

  5. Statue of Liberty!! I just had a friend tell me yesterday that she was planning a trip to NYC (and Miss Liberty) next year. She and a friend said 30 years ago they would go for their 60th BD's. Have a great time.

  10. Oh my! Have a great time!!! Lady Liberty and Ellis Island are definite do's! Also, if you're in Little Italy, or need some excellent Italian food....DiGennaro's is our go-to favorite (on the corner of Mulberry and Hester streets). (And they DON'T have anyone on their front steps saying "Free wine with dinner"....not a good sign!) Of course, around the corner from that is Ferraro's Bakery (on Grand St.)....everything in the case is awesome!

The subways are dirty, smelly, and confusing (for me anyway!). Take a cab if you are needing to go more than 10-15 blocks.....otherwise....it's walkable! Plus....cab rides are kindof an adventure.....unless you freak out with crazy driving....then don't look! LOL

    Have a blast!

  15. Have a great time! I live in Long Island and visit NYC at least 4 times a year. Saw Kinky Boots and Mama Mia and loved it!!!! So if you'd enjoy a broadway show these are them. Enjoy your trip and most of all wear comfortable shoes or sneakers. Also Juniors is a great place for burgers and sandwiches. off of 49th st and 9th ave. Do some googling for things to do.
