Guild BOM Results

Hello Everyone,

I thought you may all be wondering how the BOM came out yesterday and I didn't want to keep you hanging all weekend.

Luck seemed to be with me!  It has to be because of all your good wishes and the generosity of a friend (who put her two blocks in with my name.)  I brought home 27 completed blocks, two block kits, and the leftover fabric!

Three of the blocks were constructed a little "creatively" and will need some fixing.

The one in the back corner is the correct version.  You can maybe see that the left and right ones have navy in the corner (it should be red) and the front one has a problem in the upper middle piece.  So I have a little fixing to do and if I make the 2 kits up and cut another one from the scraps, I will have 30 blocks--which will make a nice sized quilt!  I can't believe I won.  The only other time I have won a BOM was back in Hawaii and I only won about 5 blocks (I had made one.)

Have a great weekend!
JoAnne

  3. This is the perfect time to practice the Japanese Art of Wabi Sabi! They believe that nothing is perfect and you ought to just include those two blocks in the finished quilt as they are!

  4. Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing the quilt you make. And even with fixing those 3 blocks and making a couple others, it should go together lickety split. Gotta love that!

  9. OUTSTANDING!! Perfect "you" colors and I actually love the block pattern. Going to have to check and see if I can find more info on it; I have some fabric that would look really nice in this block....love the secondary "pinwheel" effect, too! Linda

  10. PS: Meant to add that now that you're on a "winning roll" you should buy some lottery tickets. LOL
